Taylor
Garden of Dreams teen Taylor, from Cohen Children’s Medical Center on Long Island, has been actively involved with the Foundation since meeting Rangers legend Adam Graves while receiving treatment in the hospital in 2011. Taylor, who is 15 years old, currently battles a very rare illness which requires constant trials and specialized chemo treatments to help doctors assess possible treatments. Taylor was introduced to Garden of Dreams through a hospital visit with Rangers legend Adam Graves at Cohen Children’s Medical Center. During Adam’s visit, Taylor and the Rangers legend had an instant connection that has developed into a continuing relationship. Through Taylor’s many ups and downs, she considers Adam a friend who can always make her smile.
Since the hospital visit, Taylor has participated in various Garden of Dreams events including a personalized Rangers Make-A-Dream Come True experience with Adam Graves and attending the Garden of Dreams Prom. Taylor also continues to give back to Garden of Dreams by hosting a toy drive each year to help support other children facing obstacles.
Teresa, Taylor’s mother, often reflects, “We were excited that day that Adam got Taylor to smile because she was having a bad day [in the hospital] & he has continued to make her smile.”
